How to beat inflation in Toronto for Free

It's no secret that inflation has been hitting every household in Canada in 2022 and it doesn't seem to be letting up for 2023 either. Still, outside of our doors, Toronto can still be a pretty pricey place to see so we've compiled a list of things you can do in Toronto absolutely free! Don't worry each and every one of these attractions is something you would enjoy. Here's our list of Toronto's top free attractions and how to get in for free!

There are many free things to do in Toronto, including:

  1. Visit the Toronto Island Park, which offers a variety of outdoor activities such as swimming, picnicking, and bike riding.

  2. Take a stroll through the beautiful Toronto Botanical Garden, which features 17 themed gardens and a number of trails and paths.

  3. Check out the Art Gallery of Ontario, which has free admission on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

  4. Explore the historic Distillery District, which is home to a number of galleries, studios, and shops.

  5. Visit the Royal Ontario Museum, which has free admission on the first Wednesday of every month from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

  6. Take a walk along the Toronto Waterfront and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Ontario.

  7. Visit the CN Tower, which offers free admission to the observation deck on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesdays after 5:00 PM.

  8. Check out the Toronto Public Library, which offers a variety of free events and activities, including book clubs, lectures, and workshops.

  9. Take a hike in one of Toronto's many parks, such as High Park or the Don Valley Brick Works.

  10. Visit the Toronto Zoo, which offers free admission on the third Monday of every month from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
