Toronto Christmas Market: All you need to know

Toronto’s Christmas Market is a month-long event that celebrates the sounds, sights and scents of Christmas. Set in the Victorian-era, cobblestone-lined Distillery Historic District, the Christmas Market brings together local craftspeople, musicians and artisanal food-makers for a wonderful festive experience.

The market is CLOSED Mondays

12 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday to Thursdays

12 pm to 10 pm on Fridays

COST

Admission for the Toronto Christmas Market is free of charge on weekdays until Friday at 6 pm.

From 6pm Friday until Sunday at 9pm there will be a general admission ticket price of $8.00 if purchased in advance. You will have to choose your entry based on a specific time slot. A limited amount of tickets are available for the same-day purchase and cost $12.00. Please note: on-site ticket purchases must be made by credit or debit card. The Premium Experience Pass which costs $30.00 will allow you to bypass the exterior entry line. Tickets can be purchased online or in the Ticket Tent Sale.

BEST TIME TO GO

Tuesdays to Thursdays are way less busy than Fridays and the weekends, not to mention have free entrance! If the weekends work best for you we would suggest visiting before 5 pm as that is traditionally the busiest time for the market. We suggest arriving an hour before sunset as this is the time to capture photos of the festive decor.

HOW TO GET THERE

Getting to the Christmas Market can at times be chaotic especially if you choose to drive.

Parking can be limited during this time so we would recommend taking public transit, ride-sharing or walking. Alternatively, if you wish to stay close by and opt in for a nice walk or quick street car ride to the Market then The Pembroke Inn has you covered. With cozy eclectic rooms and an atmosphere that’s beaming with creativity and joy, you’ll be sure to enjoy a good nights rest after a day at Toronto’s Christmas Market.
